Follow on Google News | MAS and University of Bolton event to help supercharge businessesThe Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) in the North West, in conjunction with the University of Bolton, is hosting a key free networking event for manufacturers in the region.
By: Edward Moss Two inspirational business leaders will each be making a presentation highlighting their success in manufacturing - John Oliver OBE, former Chief Executive of Leyland Trucks, will explain how his Team Enterprise concept helped turn a failing truck manufacturing business into the most cost-efficient in Europe. David Judge, Managing Director of Cormar Carpets will show how a company in a declining industry can grow and produce products that are more affordable without affecting quality or profits and importantly, without reducing headcount. There will be an opportunity to meet and speak with like-minded manufacturers as well as take part in an interactive forum to discuss mutual business challenges and share experiences in these most difficult of economic times. Bolton University will also present details of how they are responding to support the needs of manufacturers in the region as well as outlining project funding available through graduate internships. Being held at the University of Bolton (Deane Road) on Tuesday 28 September and conveniently timed from 8.30am to 10.30am, the event is aimed at business leaders and decision makers new to the MAS suite of services who are looking for vital and comprehensive support in business operational improvement, innovation and leadership.
