Android augmented reality application allows colorblind to differentiate colors.

Enliven uses augmented reality to overlay a texture of a visible color so the user can differentiate colors. The application also simulates color deficiencies so the user can see or show others what is seen with that particular Deficiency.

Sept. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Enliven is an Augmented Reality Application for Android Phones that has two primary functions.

The first is to assist Color Blind/Deficient people suffering from:

Protanopia - Red Blind
Deuteranopia - Green Blind
Tritanopia - Blue Blind
Protanomaly - Red Weak
Deuteranomaly - Green Weak
Tritanomaly - Blue Weak

The application uses an overlay of a texture to make colors that are hard to see more visible.  The user can then differentiate colors when it is the most difficult to tell the difference. The application can pass colorblindness tests and help the user see the difference between red and green apples.

The second is to simulate the above listed Color Deficiencies so the user can see or show others what is seen with that particular Deficiency. This is particularly useful when a user is describing their affliction to others.

The application is developed by Rev0Lucian which can be visited at the following URL: http://www.rev0lucian.com/2010/09/enliven-color-blind-aid.html
