Follow on Google News | Shake, Rattle & Roll at the STORM Halloween FundraiserTickets are now on sale for “Shake, Rattle & Roll”, STORM’s Halloween Fundraiser. It will be held on October 30, 2010 at Ilio DiPaolo’s Restaurant, Blasdell NY to benefit the Orthopaedic Division of Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
By: STORM The event is inspired by Madison Eberhard, an eight-year old sufferer of “Larsen Syndrome”, a rare congenital disease that occurs in about every 1 in 100,000 people. Symptoms of Larsen Syndrome include dislocation of multiple body joints along with other unusual features of the face, hands and bones. Madison was diagnosed with this shortly after her birth at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. Since her diagnosis, she has been put in casts about 40 times and undergone major surgery five times. Madison continues to wear full leg braces and will suffer from Larsen Syndrome throughout her life. “As well as raising funds for Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, we hope this event will help to increase awareness of Larsen Syndrome”, says Tommy Radon, owner of STORM. “Thousands of children across the country suffer from this, some even more than Madison, and we’d like to do our part to help them”. Tickets cost $25 for the evening, which includes Dinner, Dancing, Apple Bobbing and a Halloween Costume Competition. There will also be a Silent Auction and Basket Raffles. Tickets can be purchased online at www.stormbuffalo.com or in person at Fred Astaire Orchard Park, 3459 Amelia Drive (located in the Quaker Crossing plaza).
