Everyone has witnessed something in their lifetime which they couldn't explain, and now there's a website dedicated to sharing those experiences and possibly learning from them.

Aug. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- Weird science has opened its doors on the internet, and they have a standing invitation to anyone willing to take them up on an interesting offer. If you email them your unexplained experience, they'll publish your story and do their best to offer a plausible explanation for what you have witnessed or endured.

According to Kenneth Herritt, the author of the site, 'We won't be able to explain away every story we receive, but that's not our true purpose. By allowing people to share these experiences, we hope to let everyone know that they aren't alone.'

Currently, the site hosts only a small repository of articles on ghosts, aliens, and other oddities, but it's expected to grow over time as people come forward to share their experiences.

When asked, 'Do you expect a slew of crackpots and hoaxers to respond?' Mr. Herritt replied, "At first, that's much of what we expect to receive, but as everyone sees how we handle such stories with care and compassion, the people who have truly experienced something unusual will come forward. We're not here to judge - we're just here to offer knowledge and support."

While there are already so many sites on the internet dedicated to oddities, perhaps this novel approach will pay off for Weird Science. One thing is for certain, if people take their offer seriously there will be much to discuss around the water cooler for many weeks to come.

Is there room for another oddities site on the internet? Only time can tell. And if people do answer the calling in droves, as it's expected they might, one can only wonder if Weird Science will be able to address all the emails. Mr. Herritt assures us they can - and they will.

So, if you've experienced something you can't explain you might want to take them up on their offer. The email address is admin@weirdsci.com and the site is http://weirdsci.com.

And if you have a Bigfoot story, be prepared to produce some fur, as one of their current articles mentions this as the best way to prove Bigfoot truly exists.
