Michigan Wind Developer to Hold Tour of Proposed Ogallala, Neb Wind Farm

Aug. 10, 2010 - PRLog -- LINCOLN, NEB – Green Oak Renewables, LLC a Michigan wind energy company developing a plan to build a 10 megawatt wind farm southeast of Ogallala, will conduct a media tour and news conference on the proposed site on Monday, August 16 starting at 10 a.m. MDT.

According to Tim Geisert, president of the non-profit Nebraska Energy Export Association http://NebraskaEnergyExport.org and Ogallala native, the tour and news conference will highlight the impact the project could have to the area’s economy, school district and quality of life.

“This proposed wind farm could become an economic stimulus engine for Ogallala and the surrounding area.  A multi-million dollar wind farm would provide a much needed economic boost for construction, transportation, employment, and support of schools and medical facilities,” Geisert said.  “If approved and supported by the community, this wind farm could be the beginning of a new era of growth for the Ogallala area.”
