Kleinhandler Statement On Ballot Challenges

Aug. 10, 2010 - PRLog -- West Nyack, NY – Congressional Candidate York Kleinhandler, of the 17th District of New York, issued the following statement regarding ballot challenges:

"After careful deliberation my campaign and I have decided not to pursue any further legal challenges to the ballot petitions submitted by my opponents in the 17th district and we are looking forward to the upcoming primary to determine the best candidate to unseat Congressman Eliot Engel.  While we are convinced of the merit of our initial challenge and stand behind the hard work of countless volunteers in uncovering the problems in Anthony Mele's petitions, I feel it is an inefficient use of our resources and an un-needed distraction for the voters to continue our challenge.  I am confident that the voters will continue to respond to my message, see that I represent the best chance for positive change in our district's representation and I will rest assured knowing that my campaign is operating within the letter of the law."
