Kleinhandler Statement On Israeli Security

July 29, 2010 - PRLog -- West Nyack, NY – Congressional Candidate York Kleinhandler, of the 17th District of New York,  issued the following statement on July 6, 2010 regarding the meetings between President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:

"I am delighted to see that this administration has finally decided to take the issue of Israeli security seriously.  Israel is a trusted and longstanding ally to the United States and as a democratic country in the Middle East; America has a vested interest in the safety and security of Israel.  I am optimistic that both leaders see progress in the peace process but I remain cautious as not all of our politicians share my view that all parties in involved, including the Palestinians, must recognize Israel's right to exist and Israel's right to live free from the threat of terrorism."
