NAWMBA 2010 National Conference and Career Fair

Aug. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- The National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) 2010 Conference and Career Fair Global Economy, Global Leadership will occur  October 1-2, 2010 in Louisville, KY. The event has been designed to assist women, both students and professionals, as they continue along the journey to develop and enhance their leadership skills.

The 2010 Conference will be held at the Louisville Marriott with the Career Fair at the Kentucky International Convention Center. The event is sponsored by Walt Disney World Resort, Humana, Brown-Forman, The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, American Airlines, The Home Depot, Wesco Distribution, Ernst & Young, Prudential, Yum!, McDonalds, State Farm Insurance, Northwestern Mutual, Cintas, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, P&G, FDIC, FHL Bank San Francisco, Giant Eagle, AT&T, E-ON/US, General Electric, UofL/MBA, Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management, Rollins MBA Career Development, University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School Crosby MBA Program, and Robert J. Students and professionals will have the opportunity to attend the Career Fair, participate in career consulting sessions (resume reviews and mock interview), networking events, development sessions, and meet women of all levels and backgrounds. The 2010 development sessions consist of five tracks:  Powerful Women We All Should Know, Triple Play: Your Career, Your Life, and Your Wellness, Navigating Your Ideal Career, Career Opportunities for MBAs, and Creating Collaboration Among Women in Corporate America. While the session topics in each track work together attendees have the choice to attend all sessions in one track, or switch between tracks.

Keynote Speakers:
Lynn Tilton - CEO and Principal of Patriarch Partners, LLC and its affiliated entities (“Patriarch”), a private equity firm managing $7 billion in assets. Lynn is well recognized by TV and print media alike for her modern day industrialist efforts to rebuild America. Her labors, since the founding of Patriarch have saved over 200,000 jobs and more than 100 companies from liquidation.

Phoebe A. Wood - Principal, CompaniesWood, a consulting firm that specializes in early stage (“angel”) investments. Phoebe is a  retired Vice Chairman and CFO of Brown-Forman Corporation, and has served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Motorola’s telecom subsidiary, Propel, Inc. Prior to joining Motorola, Wood enjoyed a career of over 20 years with the Atlantic Richfield Company, including significant responsibilities as Vice President and Executive Committee member of large subsidiaries in Alaska and England.

Presenters:
Teri L. List - Senior Vice President and Treasurer, The Procter & Gamble Company. As P&G's Senior Vice President and Treasurer, Teri leads the Global Treasury, Acquisition & Divestiture, Investor Relations and External Business Development organizations.

Christine A. Poon - Dean and John W. Berry, Sr. Chair in Business at The Max M. Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Christine comes to Fisher after a 30-year career in the health-care industry, most recently as vice chairman and worldwide chairman of Pharmaceuticals at Johnson & Johnson.
