Aug. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Foxboro, MA: Vanguard Networks today announced the worldwide introduction of the VG 3410W, the latest addition to its 3400 Series enterprise-class gateways for voice and data services. The new platform comes with enhanced security capabilities as part of the company's newly introduced ApplicationsWareTM 7.3 suite, and is designed to bring cost-effective data access for MPLS, Frame Relay and private, leased line multi-site branch locations. "The introduction of the VG 3410W expands the capabilities of the 3400 family with a high performance, secure, modular data router" said Vanguard Networks’ CEO,  Rudi Willems. "The trade-mark robustness and reliability of the brand make the product well-suited to enterprise-class access services while the available slot allows for expansion for up to 3 high-speed serial WAN ports. Service Providers can start offering a single 2Mbps MPLS access service and grow to MLPPP-bonded 4Mbps or 6Mbps by adding a single or dual data card interface.”

Vanguard Networks’ ApplicationWareTM Release 7.3 along with the VG 3410W make a broader array of managed services available for the branch office, enabling service providers to offer cost-effective managed security, managed MPLS, or Internet access. The VG 3410W along with its predecessors in the VG 3400 Series, supports Quality-of-Service (QOS) prioritization of encrypted traffic, firewall services, syslog alarming and an encryption acceleration engine. To preserve high uptime for the branch, the VG 3410W supports intelligent restoral through an integral V.90 modem option and an external 3G modem as well.
The new VG 3410W price starts at $1,190 and is available for ordering now.

The Vanguard 3400 Series is a comprehensive portfolio of multi-service application service gateways that consist of the data-only VG 3410 and VG 3410W models, the VG 3460 model providing voice and data access, and the VG 3480 model with expanded WAN access for voice and data services. The VG 3400 family comes in a rugged, compact, small footprint chassis, and supports a vast array of WAN and end-user interfaces including Ethernet, T1/E1, FXS/FXO Voice, ISDN, and a variety of serial interfaces.
