![]() The Cedars At The JCA Announces Important ChangesThe Jewish Center for Aged will transition ownership and operating responsibility of its 252-bed senior care facility known as The Cedars at the JCA on August 1, 2010. The current manager, Traditions Management of St. Louis, will remain in place.
The tremendous team that comprises the staff at The Cedars will continue to represent and service the facility under the new arrangement. Services currently available to all residents at The Cedars, including kosher meals, on-site synagogues, and Jewish holiday observances, will also remain in place. “The JCA Board and Traditions have worked together over the past two years to improve operations. We have been very pleased with Traditions’ leadership and their commitment to this community,” said JCA Board of Directors President Ken Rubin. Ben Atkins, CEO of Traditions Management, added “We are very proud to have contributed to The Cedars’ 103-year legacy of setting superior standards for senior living in the St. Louis area. We look forward to our ongoing commitment under this new arrangement and to helping The Cedars provide the excellent care and service the community has come to expect for many years to come.” Founded in 1907 as the Orthodox Jewish Old Folks Home, The Cedars at the JCA offers a continuum of care, including residential care, rehabilitation services, skilled nursing, and special Alzheimers programs.
