By: Keith Springer Relief Rallies are not built to last SACRAMENTO, Calif. July 8, 2010 – Keith Springer discusses the bearish state of the market and reactions to the latest retail sales report and declining mortgage rates live with Andrew O’Day on Morning Stock Talk. MarketWatch’ O’Day says it’s easy for journalists to report, stocks are up after…?, He asks, are there any cause and effect relationships in the market today? Springer responds, “the market is up because it’s not a catastrophe. We are in a downturn with anemic growth. You must have a strategic plan in order to be positioned properly.” O’Day finishes by asking, relief is not enough? “Baby-boomers have reached peak spending. What we need is more spenders now,” Springer continues. “The largest population is saving. We need more jobs and more importantly housing prices need to increase. Overall, getting lending is critical.” Retail sales reports were releases, O’Day said and expectations are realistic, is this good? Springer says, “It’s not impressive. This is a sign of bear market, I want to see improvement. The economy is over burdened by leverage. Coming out of this bubble, must end in deflation, and that’s where we are headed.” To view more live media interviews visit www.KeithSpringer.com and click the “Keith in the Media” link, email Keith@KeithSpringer.com or call (916) 925-8900 Keith Springer, President of Capital Financial Advisory Services, a SEC Registered Investment Advisory Firm, frequently provides commentary and analysis for various global and national media outlets.
