| The Window Graffiti VaccineHow to fix window graffiti before it happens.
By: LVtint In February of 2010, a shop in Anaheim California was targeted by taggers, who carved into the storefront windows. Taggers use screwdrivers, keys, or other sharp objects to cut marks in glass. The marks are impossible to remove. When the owner, Rosa Bobbio, went to find an estimate to replace four of the large storefront windows, the number she heard astounded her: $17,000. Unable to afford the massive cost of window replacement, Rosa had to endure the disfigurement and continue operations as best she could. Frusterating, because a graffiti-marked shop is an unwelcoming place. Eventually, the city of Anaheim spotted her problem... and fined her $466. Not enough people seem to know about the cheap, easy, and painless solution to window vandalism. Anti-graffiti window film is applied unnoticeably, and taggers cutting into it will almost never cut deeply enough to reach the window itself. If the window film is marked, it can be stripped off and reapplied for a fraction of the cost of window glass.
