July 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Orlando is a great place to stay or visit; the temperature is hot all year round although there are effectively two different seasons.  The first season spans from June to September and has rainy periods, whilst  from October through to May the weather is mainly dry.  During the rainy season thunderstorms are frequent (almost daily in the afternoons), but don't usually last long -  maybe a hour at most then the sun comes straight out.

Orlando is a major tourist destination, a city that caters for all visitors; out-of-towners to foreign tourists alike. Orlando is a place known for its theme parks and the city is a place that thrill seekers place can call heaven.  Visiting the theme parks such as Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort is like going to another world; they're the two biggest theme park resorts in Orlando and some people would call them the twin heartbeats of the city since they bring in so much revenue and so many visitors. With these massive attractions, Orlando is a destined place for vacation rentals, providing a reasonably-priced alternative in the locality to the resort hotels.

For animal lovers there are a couple of awesome attractions. SeaWorld is great for the many wonders of the aquatic life; but if you want the most amazing day out then you'll need to take a day trip by coach to Busch Gardens in Tampa; here the thriller rides of the theme park and mind blowing safari experience, with a wide spectrum of spectacular birds and beasts, are combined into one day out.

When looking for a place to stay it's recommended that you find somewhere with an en-suite kitchen, as the money you save on eating out  for all of your meals could be key to making a family vacation affordable, even if you're only staying for a brief period. A vacation rental is preferable since depending on where you stay, you could be spending more than you need to. The best way to get around Orlando is by a rental car; the main attractions may seem close but transport is the ideal option rather than walking and it can save you money which can spent on other things such as shopping.  If you don't get a car they have a few bus services that are adequate at getting you around Orlando

Speaking of shopping, Orlando is the perfect place. There are the usual malls filled with every big retail name you can think of. Also you can also find also retail outlet malls where top brand name stores have items at a discounted price.

Are you going to be situated in the downtown part of Orlando?  Don't worry as there is still loads to do.  The main feature of downtown Orlando is Lake Eola Park which is a 43 acre park that has a playground, a small outdoor café and a extraordinary Disney Amphitheatre.  The park also has an iconic fountain which was installed in 1912 and renovated in 1957.  There are a few art galleries such as the CityArts Factory which has artwork from locals and museums such as Orlando Science Center.

There are places in Orlando for nature enthusiasts, like the Harry P. Leu Gardens which is a tropical garden that spans over 50 acres of land.  It features 200 year-old oaks and contains three historic buildings.  These gardens contain many species of plant which cannot be found anywhere in America.  There is also the Ocala National Forest which is the second largest national forest in the state.

Orlando is sports mad has a fair few stadiums to back up this enthusiasm, though funnily enough a few of the teams play at the same stadium.  The Amway Arena is where the NBA team Orlando Magic called home, but they are moving to a newer better stadium in the later half of 2010 it will be called the Amway Center - but the Amway Arena will still be home to the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League and Orlando Titans of the National Lacrosse League.  There is also the Florida Citrus bowl which is a 70,000 capacity behemoth; it is a great stadium that has been used for various projects like concerts and wrestling events, but sports still lies at its heart and it plays host to the annual Florida college games: The Florida Classic, The Champs Sports Bowl, and The Capital One Bowl. Florida Tuskers has the privilege of calling it home.

There is a reason why they call all of Florida the 'sunshine state', but it is Orlando, bejewelled with its many glorious attractions, that shines perhaps brightest of its cities, and thus perennially remains the most fantastic destination for your holiday.
