Westlake Academy presenting ‘Open House’ Events Featuring 'Pointers for Parents' Family Seminars

June 26, 2010 - PRLog -- The ‘Pointers for Parents’ Seminar Series will deal with the many aspects of special needs students. Topics featured include: Interventions for Communications & Behavior for the Autism Spectrum, Obtaining Maximum Services Using an I.E. P., Positive Home & School Connection, Behavior Management Techniques, Using Neuro-Linguistic Programming to Improve Cognitive Abilities.

After the presentations, tours and interviews will be conducted by the speakers; Daphne Bromfield – ESE Curriculum Supervisor, Roxanne Chung – Director of ESE Services, Belinda Vandenboomen – Behavior and Guidance Specialist, Gary Gam – Educational & Behavioral Specialist, and Dr. W. Pepitone – Headmaster.

Westlake Academy is a private non-profit school dedicated to the education of students with specific learning challenges, special needs and developmental disabilities. Approved for McKay and SUFS Scholarship Programs as well as Title I Services, the school provides an academically based educational model of Individual and Classroom Programs for the instruction of students in kindergarten through 12th grade
