June 10, 2010 - PRLog -- In the past, we have only allowed automation software failover of the DICE software.  Since many of our clients have now purchased our integrated PBX system, we are adding full failover services to allow all PBX clients to have fully redundant phone failover capacity for their phone switch.  This allows us to fail your switch over to DICE and for DICE to push the call to your phones within the central or cell phone capacities.  This is the first fully redundant Telco infrastructure backup for the alarm industry that we know of.  Considering how integrated the DICE VoIP PBX already is with the DICE software, it therefore made sense to offer this complete service.

We have also partnered with one of the leading Telco providers of lines, of which many clients have already switched to this service.  In our agreement with them, they are providing you with a 911 center if you qualify.  We built the new DR center to automatically move these lines from your Telco circuits to your DR center circuits, and then controlling them from our software in the DR center.  This means that when a phone circuit goes bad or gets cut, the movement from your center to our DR center will be automatic and completed within seconds.  We are making the changing in the new upgrade so that when this does occur, it will move the signals to your server that may be operating.  This means that your entire phone service could go away, and you wouldn't miss a beat; automation, the phone system, and everything else would continue as normal.  It is amazing how far we have come in this industry along with the advances that have been made with technology.  Imagine telling someone a few years ago that you could potentially lose your entire phone company and the alarm center wouldn't even know it happened and would continue to operate without interruption.

We are also reengineering our receiver cluster to better handle large failovers and provide a huge capacity for numbers of accounts.  We built the center to handle a complete failover which has been used many times.  Additionally, we now are able to have automated partial failovers due to a single line or a single receiver.  We are changing the way it operates so that your failover is automatic and eliminates the need for human intervention where possible.

In addition, because we have been selling our integrated PBX to non DICE automation users, we now have the situation where these clients can fail over their PBX to us, but not their software.  Because we are a service provider, our philosophy is one where we should provide services to anyone no matter what software the have.  We have many video systems installed that interface with MAS, BOLD, Microkey to name a few, so we know that we can control their signals, their screens, and other features as needed.  Our update to the center will therefore include the capacity to failover for foreign automation systems.  However, it will not be as robust as DICE, but it is better than having nothing.  As you can imagine, we are tremendously excited about having these additional software systems in our building full time, since it provides many options to our client.
