June is Adopt a Cat Month and Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter celebrates with “Old Timers Weekend”!

The weekend of Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27, brings old time fun to Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter.   It’s “Old Timers” weekend, when the Shelter staff and volunteers celebrate and highlight the animals that have been with them the longest.   Potential adopters will get to meet and mingle with felines like Mickey and Sammi, who have been looked after by the staff and dedicated volunteers since 2007.   All available animals have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines, and have been examined medically for common problems, prior to adoption.  New adopters will also receive one free month of Shelter Care pet insurance, a pet carrier and a gift bag full of helpful supplies and coupons.

The Shelter will have hot dogs, popcorn and soda for all potential adopters that visit that day.

Mt. Pleasant gives all our residents unlimited time to stay with us until the right family can be found.  Animals are never euthanized for lack of space and we are proud of our 98% adoption rate.

Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is a limited admission, non profit animal welfare organization that is 100% privately funded.   The organization provides exceptional care for homeless animals while promoting spaying/neutering, microchipping and humane education.  Mt. Pleasant’s mission is to place homeless cats and dogs in permanent, loving homes.  Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is open to the public for adoptions on Tues. & Thurs. 12-7, Weds. and Fri. 12-4, Sat. and Sun. 12-5.  For more information, please call 973-386-0590 or visit www.njshelter.org
