Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter gets a new "Top Dog"
Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter announces a new Executive Director.
Suzanne replaces Nicole Lewy Drummond. Lewy Drummond will remain as a member of the Board of Directors and still part of the Mt. Pleasant family.
Roman has been with the shelter since April, 2010 and has been the Acting Executive Director since January, 2011. Prior to joining Mt. Pleasant, Roman was the long time Board President of PASS-Parsippany Animal Supporters Society.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated staff and volunteers in making a difference for the animals of our community” said Roman. This year, Mt Pleasant will assist approximately 800 homeless animals, the majority saved from high kill, overcrowded shelters.
Griffin will be assisted by Jennifer Gregory of Morris Plains who has been promoted recently to Director of Operations from Shelter Manager, a position she has held since 2008. Gregory will be reaching out to facilities throughout New Jersey to educate and assist in saving lives while overseeing the day to day operations of the shelter.
