has launched its compact, multi -purpose data communication tester designed for the installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of digital networks. This tester is used to carry out both framed and unframed tests on various equipment such as primary multiplexers, digital cross connects, automatic protection switches and circuits operating at a speed between 50bit/s and 2048kbit/s. Its lightweight and compact design makes it ideal for field use.
This portable data communication tester, model CE5009, integrates a number of interfaces including V.24, V.35, V.11, X.21, G.703 Co-dir 64kbit/s and G.703-2Mkbit/
s. Accommodations for future interfaces have also been considered. The tester supports synchronous or asynchronous data transmission via each interface and provides an error analysis function. This rugged tester generates and monitors PCM30, PCM30 CRC, PCM31 and PCM31 CRC frame structures. The measurement results can be stored in its onboard memory to prevent data loss in the event of power failure. Its test targets are FAS Error, FAS Error rate, Code Errors, E-bit Error, Block Error, CRC4 Error, CRC4 Error rate, BE and BER for G.703-2M offline.
