Utopia, Inc. Implements SAP® BusinessObjects™ Data Services for a World Leading Utilities Company

June 1, 2010 - PRLog -- Utopia, Inc., a global leader in enterprise data lifecycle management (EDLM) solutions, is proud to announce that one of the world’s leading independent power producers has selected them to provide implementation services for SAP® BusinessObjects™ (SBO).  

Utopia will install SBO Data Services within the customer’s environment and cleanse their SAP® vendor master data across the RPC and WIND systems.  The implementation includes the design and configuration of automated workflows for cleansing and extraction, de-duplication, and uploading the cleansed vendor data back into the respective systems.

Vendor data will be cleansed using standard business rules with references to third party standard repositories like USPS and Austin-Tetra.  Specifically Utopia will be parsing and standardizing names, addresses, phone, and tax related information.  The enrichment of data will focus on adding missing tax ID’s, classifying vendors, identifying duplicate vendors (based on pre-defined criteria and fuzzy logic algorithms), and outlining a strategy to pick surviving records from the duplicates.
