Texas New Schoolbook Controversy

Texas schoolbook changes do not go nearly far enough.

May 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Schoolbooks in America have become more about social issues than about academics.   They tell children how to have safe sex, like our children do not have enough self control to wait until marriage or at least until they are old enough.   They tell our children not to do drugs, but if you do… do it safely.  How about global warming?  They teach it as fact, even though more scientists and PhD’s disregard man-made global warming than support it.  Suicide, abortion, slavery, environmentalism, the greed of capitalism and more are the top of the list in our education system.
History books barely touch the foundation of America and focus more on slavery and beyond.  Do people honestly believe that the Founding Fathers intention for the First Amendment was to protect the likes of pornography, violence and lies, while prohibiting Christianity and all things moral?  Here are some quotes from some of the founders on what the intentions and meaning of the First Amendment was:
In 1844 Justice Joseph Story clarified the original meaning writing, “The real object of the First Amendment was not to countenance (tolerate) much less advance Mohammedanism, Judaism or infidelity, by prostrating (subduing) Christianity, but to exclude all rivalry among Christian sects (denominations) and to prevent any national ecclesiastical patronage of the national government.”  In other words it was to prevent any one denomination from taking over as happen with the Church of England.
Also in 1844 on the plan of education, “The purest principles of morality are to be taught.  Where are they found?  Whoever searches for them must go to the source from which a Christian man derives his faith – the Bible… There is an obligation to teach what the Bible alone can teach, a pure system of morality.”  Guess where this came from…  The United States Supreme Court
June 28, 1813 John Adams wrote Thomas Jefferson a letter, “The general principles, on which the Fathers achieved INDEPENDENCE, were the only Principles in which that beautiful Assembly of young Gentlemen could unite… And what were these principles?  I answer the general Principles of Christianity, in which all Sects were United.”  John Adams flat out says that Christianity was the principle that gave America Independence.
April 30, 1789, George Washington said in his inaugural address, “No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than the people of the United States.  Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency.”  President Washington gave all the credit for America’s creation to God the Father.  According to Washington America would not exist if it were not for that Invisible Hand.
In 1776 Patrick Henry boldly declared, “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
What is sad is that if we do not find the history books written by those who experienced it, we will continue to have anarchy in America.  Our children will never know of the sacrifices America’s founders went through.   Our children will never know why America’s founders did what they did.  Our children will never know the true foundation of America.  Our children will never understand why this once great country became an immoral laughing stock of the world.
George Washington said in his farewell address to the country, “Reason and experience forbid us to believe that we can have a national morality without religious principles.”  And his words hold true.  America is no longer moral country because we no longer have the Bible to guide us.  James Madison, known as the Chief Architect of the Constitution on June 20, 1785 said, “We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of the government, far from it.  We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments.”   Those Ten Commandments were the whole foundation of the Constitution.
Did our Founders really want Christianity and the Bible out of our classrooms?   Noah Webster said, “Education is useless without the Bible.”  George Washington, “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without the Bible.”  William Penn, “All persons having children… shall cause such children to be instructed in reading and writing, so that they may be able to read the Scriptures and to write by the time they attain 12 years of age.”  Princeton University declared, “Cursed be all learning that is contrary to the cross of Christ.”  Harvard University believed, “All knowledge without Christ was vain.”
We must stop worrying about new history books and search for the old ones… you may make them new… but keep their words.  We must focus on academics and leave the social and controversial subjects to the parents, it is THEIR responsibility NOT OURS.  If we do not do this our schools will continue to turn out socialist zombies.
We must go backwards for America to be able to move forward again.

This is a book that explains why teacher's are not allowed to teach and who is really at fault. It names names and tells it all. It has come at a great price to the author who lost his job the same week it was published.
