Award-Winning National Speaker Jonathan Sprinkles Among 2010 HBJ’s 40 under 40 List

May 10, 2010 - PRLog -- National speaker Jonathan Sprinkles has been identified as one of Houston's Top 40 Professionals under the age of 40 by the Houston Business Journal. This year's honorees mark the second time 40 outstanding young Houston leaders will be recognized in an awards ceremony on May 20th at the House of Blues.

The premier awards program is part of the HBJ’s annual “Celebrate! Enterprise” program of business events and identifies 40 young leaders who excel in their industries, are respected business leaders and show dynamic leadership in their community.  

Sprinkles was nominated for his tenacity after adversity, resilience after losing his father to cancer in his childhood, his far-reaching youth mentorship outreach and his continued business success in a challenging economy. Sprinkles was voted National Speaker of the Year; selected by members of the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities and he is recognized as one of the most sought-after and well-respected student leadership speakers in the country.

Additionally, he is the author of several books, including Take Your Leadership to the Next Level: The 7 Secrets of Thriving Student Leaders, which has become required reading for thousands of students on college campuses throughout America.

Jonathan graduated from college from the fourth-ranked marketing program in the country (The University of Texas at Austin) and enjoyed a thriving sales career at Dell, Inc. He also distinguished himself as being among the top speakers, becoming a Toastmasters International District Champion in speech evaluation (one of only 73 in the world). Other professional accolades include Mentor of the Year Eastman Kodak/The Walt Disney Company, Marketer of the Year/, Inc., National Speaker of the Year/for the Promotion of Campus Activities and 2009 Pinnacle Award Winner from the Citizen’s Chamber of Commerce.
