RE/MAX Northern Illinois Real Estate Network's Balloon Program to Be Presented at 3 Moline Schools

May 7, 2010 - PRLog -- The RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network has announced that the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew will visit three schools in Moline, Ill., on May 18 and 19 to present an interactive educational program developed by the RE/MAX network.  

The three balloon visits will take place at:

-- Garfield Elementary School, 1518 25th Ave., 9:30 a.m. on May 18.
-- Hamilton Elementary School, 700 32nd Ave. at 1 p.m. on May 18.
-- Ericsson Elementary School, 335 5th Ave. at 8:15 a.m. on May 19.

The program presented will teach students about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions.  The RE/MAX balloon will visit more than 40 schools this spring in northern Illinois.

At Garfield and Hamilton schools, the program will be presented outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting, but can be moved indoors if required.  At Ericsson School, space limitations make it necessary to present the program indoors in the school gymnasium.

During outdoor programs, the balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height if conditions allow.  When the program is presented indoors, the envelope is inflated with cold air and students have the opportunity to walk inside it.
