Environmental Science has emerged as the most critical discipline of our time.  Focus in this field encompasses such aspects as species and habitat protection, soil and water conservation, sustainable agriculture, environmental policies, renewable energy and biofuels and global climate change.  For those learning about this field, it is vital that teachers afford them classroom, as well as real world learning environments, because in order to effectuate any positive, constructive, long standing understanding and support of our environment the public must not only have book knowledge but must be hands-on with their learning and appreciation of such aspects as environmental impacts, resource management and soil and water management. A common understanding that all must adopt, and commit to, is the realization that there is no “my environment in America” or “her environment in another country” because when pollution or an earthquake or any other environmental factor has an impact in one country it has an impact on all.  We are all connected on this Earth and must work together to protect our environment and our Earth for the future.
