April 27, 2010 - PRLog -- CB Structures, Inc., a contractor of pole barns and agricultural buildings across the Mid-Atlantic U.S., was awarded the prestigious “Judge’s Special” award by the National Frame Builders Association (NFBA) at the 2010 Frame Building Expo, held February 17-19 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

The NFBA Building of the Year Contest is held annually to recognize excellence in pole building design and construction. During the contest, the NFBA awards four Judge’s Awards each year to recognize entries that do not win in any other categories. These buildings are selected specifically by NFBA judges for their exceptional construction and design. In addition to the Judge's Awards, plaques were also handed out to 14 “Building of the Year” winners in a variety of categories ranging from agricultural storage, to livestock facilities, to commercial buildings, and residential structures.

“We’re honored to win a fifth time in the Building of the Year category,” said John Gehr, marketing manager of CB Structures, Inc. “Our goal has always been to build exceptional custom post frame buildings, and it means a lot to be recognized by the National Frame Builders Association as a leader in the industry.”

The “Judge’s Special” awarded to CB Structures recognized Brian Quarry and Mike Jones for a residential pole barn built for a client named Dan Jones. The winning design resembles a two-story barn with white siding and a green aluminum roof featuring three small cupolas. The entrance is highlighted with two stone chimneys flanking a gabled roof and a covered porch that wraps around the front of the home.

CB also received two additional awards. Mike Jones was also honored with a second place award in the Hobby Shops category; a third place award went to Josh Trimby in the commercial category for pole buildings ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 sq. ft.

Previously, CB Structures has also been recognized as part of the NFBA’s Building of the Year Contest in 2000, 2001, 2005 and 2008. The Pennsylvania-headquartered contractor of pole barns (http://www.cbstructuresinc.com) and post frame construction has also been recognized for quality construction and Buildings of the Year in residential and general use buildings by FABRAL four times since 2002.

The NFBA is a U.S. trade association that represents the post-frame construction industry, including construction, manufacturing and marketing companies, as well as code and design professionals.
