Chrystee Hamilton Named Alcorn County Nurse of the Year

April 22, 2010 - PRLog -- CORINTH – The Fifth Annual Alcorn County Nurse of the Year Award was presented to Chrystee Hamilton at an evening event held at Country Cottage Assisted Living in North Corinth on Thursday, April 15.

The evening included the recognition of all nurses who were nominated for the award, the presentation of a plaque and a $250 cash prize to Chrystee Hamilton. In addition, Ruth Johnson, Assistant Director of Nursing at Magnolia Hospital gave a presentation on the current nursing trends and commitment.

The winner was selected by a committee made up of community leaders including Jamie Jones, Marketing Associate with the Daily Corinthian; Serra Beth Greenlee, Social Worker with Cornerstone; Dawn Owens, Resident Services Director at Country Cottage; and April Davis, Managing Director at Country Cottage.

“Chrystee really demonstrates the best qualities a nurse can have,” noted April Davis, Managing Director of Country Cottage and host of this annual event. “We at Country Cottage are so pleased to be able to sponsor this award and to see how nurses appreciate being recognized for all that they do.”

Chrystee Hamilton has shown incredible dedication, love, and care to those in need.  “Chrystee cared for our beloved Pawpaw BJ, as he slowly went to meet Jesus. In four days time, she loved him, comforted him, protected him, and became a part of our family,” said Lydia McAnally Lambert, who nominated Hamilton for the award.
