How To Deal With Perception In A Interview And Nail It !

April 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Have you ever went to a interview and nothing that you did or said came out right?  Have you ever had it all together and actually nailed your interview to just later realize that you didn't stand a chance of getting the position because of the way you looked?  The thought of how much time and effort that went into your preperation for the interview.  I am going to give you some helpful tips on how to save alot of time and money when perparing for a interview.

Tip #1) Plan your transportation -  Free up at least 1 hour before your interview for travel time, it is better to be early than late.  You never know if there is going be complications when you are on the way to your interview.

Tip #2) Plan what to wear - It does not matter what position you are interviewing for do not wear jeans, show piercings, or tatoos.  Dress casual with slacks nice shirt no prints or loud colors, knee length skirt or suit something along those lines.  Make sure your hygene is up to code your clothes should be neat, clean and pressed.  You definetly want to dress to impress first impression is everything.

Tip #3) Plan what to say -  Think about all your skills you learned on various jobs that you have worked.  Apply those skills to the position that you are applying for.  Most companies want to know what skills do you have?  How many of those skills can you apply to the position that you are applying for?  What can you bring to that company?  And are you dependable all of these questions anwser wether or not you would be a good asset to their company.  You have to sell yourself with confidence, professional look, and skills to match.  Always give a firm hand shake and SMILE.  Speak in a professional tone, take your A-Game know when to speak and when to listen a good interview should go both ways they are tying to get to know you.  Ask some questions about the company and the postion that you are appling for.  This will give the impression that you are trying to figure out wether or not this is the position for you while showing the confidence that you have for yourself as well.

Tip #4) Always give a resume, what I want to introduce to you today is the New Dgital Resume which is comming soon in September.  This resume is nice because it is digital and you can email it to any company.  It has your photo on it so they are able to view you and your skills and then decide wether or not they want to interview you in person.  This is what eliminates you from going to a interview and being turned away because of how you look.  If they call you in for a interview after viewing your digital resume they have already seen you and your skills so you are not a suprise when they meet you.  This also gives you alot more confidence going into the interview knowing that all you have to do at this point is sell yourself.  This saves you time and money attending interviews that you dont stand a chance in because of how you look.  You want to get rid of the paper resumes because the only place they go is in the trash some companies will scan your resume with a computer that search for keywords on you resume and if it does not have that right keywords it is a high percentage that your resume will get discarded and you would have wasted your time.
