NEW YORK, NY (April 19th, 2010): Radio personality and host of the “Your Book Is Your Hook!” Show on WomensRadio.com, Jennifer S. Wilkov, is lending her voice to support Project Night Night and its mission to get books into the hands of homeless children.
Project Night Night helps underserved children from birth to pre-teen who need our childhood and educational essentials to feel secure, cozy, ready to learn, and significant.
“Our work is carried out through Night Night Packages, each of which contains a new security blanket, an age-appropriate children's book, and a stuffed animal -- all nestled inside a canvas tote bag,” says Kendra Robins, Founder and Executive Director of Project Night Night.
Project Night Night has distributed over 100,000 Night Night Packages since 2005.
“No matter what their situation, circumstance or condition is, every child deserves to experience the joy of a book – one that was created and crafted just for them as a child. I believe in and fully support the mission of Project Night Night. If every children’s author gave just one copy of their book to Project Night Night, imagine how many little lives would be changed forever through the amazing gift of that book. A child’s heart would open and they’ll probably always remember the book they received in such scary circumstances. A book can brighten the life of a child – for a lifetime,” says Jennifer S. Wilkov.
Ms. Robins says: "With the help of Jennifer S. Wilkov, Project Night Night hopes to be able to put books into the hands of even more homeless children. We are grateful and touched by the support she has offered to us."
