April 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Cocoon Vehicles has been offering Short Term Contract Hire and Leasing options since Day 1, but has since increased its offerings since the recession hit.
“When our funders started to tighten their belts with companies and individuals taking on Contract Hire or Traditional Finance. We had to look elsewhere, to ensure the money would keep coming in.” Explains Myron Nykolyszyn, Director at Cocoon. “We had credit lines with the major funders, so the only way we could get cars out to our customers was to take on the risk ourselves.”
Cocoon Vehicles went and hired or leased over 40 vehicles from Mini Cooper’s up to BMW X5’s. “We had to cater for all, so by ordering such a diverse mixture of vehicles we could keep everybody happy.”
“Once the funders settled down, we shifted our prime customers over to long term vehicles either on Contract Hire and Leases or Traditional Finance” said Myron, “This then gave us a batch of vehicles that we could lend out on Short Term.”
Cocoon Vehicles has now signed a contract with a major vehicle provider to broker their vehicles, all of the vehicles are Brand New or up to 6 months old and can be hired from 1 to 12 months. All of the contracts are flexible and can be cancelled by giving 28 days notice.
“A few companies in the market place have extortionate excess mileage rates, we have tried to keep Cocoon’s as low as we possibly can.” Explains Myron “Whilst our competitors charge approximately 75p to £1.00 per mile, our new supplier charges us between 25p and 50p, which in turn we pass on to our customer.”
