Cape Cod Green Home is Finalist for Excellence in Design Awards

April 9, 2010 - PRLog -- CAPE COD, MA – The English Residence, a modern Cape Cod home by ZeroEnergy Design, has been selected as a ‘Finalist’ for the 2010 Excellence in Design awards hosted by Environmental Design + Construction magazine. Aligned with the magazine’s philosophy, the contest requires that homes clearly demonstrate a commitment to green building and sustainable design.

The English Residence is a modern, 2000 square foot green home designed with open living space, a roof deck, outdoor kitchen, green roof, solar electric system, and sustainable materials.  The client’s environmental philosophy is reflected in design’s commitment to energy efficiency, as well as through the LEED Gold certification received from the US Green Building Council.

Grand prize winners for the 2010 Excellence in Design awards will be selected by a judging panel (currently in process) with winners to be announced in May.
