Double Award Triumph For Navman Wireless UK

The judges at the 2010 awards recognised both Mr Neill, and the company's, outstanding success in delivering technological innovation, dynamic growth and cost saving strategies in the face of the worldwide economic crisis.

The UK's largest provider of vehicle tracking (based on analysis of competitor customer numbers) has cemented its position at the fore of a hugely competitive industry - recently announcing a 90 per cent increase in net profits, from £2.16m to £4.11m (figures from the company's most recently audited accounts, for year to December 2008).

"The people within the business have been the driving force behind its success and I can't thank them enough," said Mr Neill, Navman Wireless's Executive Vice President.

Navman Wireless was founded by Mr Neill in 2001, after he'd spotted the potential for the vehicle tracking industry.  Today the company tracks more than 110,000 vehicles around the world.

The company's technology allows businesses to track, message and monitor their fleets from almost any computer at any location, providing essential information about their workforces and mobile assets.

The awards were presented during a gala dinner at Best Western Stoke-on-Trent Moat House on Tuesday March 23rd.

The Business of the Year Award was sponsored by HSBC Commercial Banking while Beswicks Solicitors sponsored Young Businessperson of the Year Award.

The awards programme was presented in association with North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the presentation dinner was sponsored by Advantage West Midlands.
