The National Education Association (NEA) Has Nothing To Do With Teachers

This is how they helped a proven innocent teacher... that is about to be terminated

March 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Do you want more truth that the National Education Association (NEA)? They do not represent anything but their own self-interests!  In January 2009 I was sent home because I was accused of hitting a student, they call it “reassigned” to my house.   There were three teachers that witnessed the scene in which they are referring to and a video that shows that I did not do what they are accusing me of.  They also said that I had gone into a room alone with a male student who was in the process of getting into dress code.  Well, that does happens all the time and I was told by administration to go in for observation due to inappropriate dress code in the first place.  Again, there are several witnesses that will attest to that.
What did the local NEA (CCEA) say?  “As long as you’re getting paid don’t worry about it.”
On March 12, 2010, I am ordered to go down to the legal department… they did not contact my attorney or the CCEA just me.  When I got down there they terminated me.  Actually they suspended me without pay until I am terminated (after all the appeals).
Today, March 25, 2010 CCEA finally makes room for me to go see them, I fill out the paper work and then am told that the attorneys, for the CCEA, will be in contact with me soon and you can expect a meeting sometime in October.  I was shocked; I said what am I suppose to do until then?  I cannot collect unemployment and who is going to hire a 55 year old man who has been suspended pending termination for immorality and dishonesty.  The CCEA representative just smiled and said, “I am just the messenger.”
This termination came the same week as my book, “Teachers… It Ain’t Your Fault” came out.  The book outlines the corruption in our school system to which there is an entire chapter on the NEA.   I do not know if the way they are handling my situation is normal or it is their way of helping the school district retaliate against me.
If this is the normal way then what good are they?  If a teacher gets suspended without pay and it takes seven months to appeal… who can afford to do that?  A teacher would have to quit in order to get work, because you cannot get a decent job if your new employer knows you may end up going back to teaching in a few months.  The thing is the NEA is ok with this… I mean it is obvious that they don’t care about students or education… but to throw teachers under the bus (no pun intended) is inexcusable.
Maybe if I devoted more time to their liberal agenda and less to students and I did not go to church every Sunday, I would be treated differently.  Sorry, I am an outspoken Conservative Christian and nothing will change that.

This is a book that explains why teacher's are not allowed to teach and who is really at fault. It names names and tells it all. It has come at a great price to the author who lost his job the same week it was published.
