Feb. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- With the competition of Mobile Telephony and VoIP, analogue fixed telephony has been decreasing for years. In Canada, the four major operators have lost 1 million access lines in 2009. It represents a decrease of 6.2% year to year.

The four largest analogue fixed telephony companies are Bell Canada, Telus, Bell Alliant and MTS. As they offer other services, their network access lines eroded year by year. According to Dataxis Intelligence, Canada had about 3 million VoIP on Cable subscribers in Q309, and this number is still increasing.
