Former Bridezilla Draws on Experience for Second Novel, Blog Tour.

Jan. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- (Fort Smith, Arkansas) – February is a time when many couples become engaged.  But for author Tracy S. Morris, a February nearly 10 years ago was a time for murder.

“I was in the middle of filing for divorce when both my sister and my best friend asked me to be their matron of honor,” Morris said.

The solution to Morris’s situation was obvious: Murder.  At least in the fictional sense.  Morris collected her somewhat sarcastic observations on matrimony, and turned them into the murder mystery Bride of Tranquility.  

At the beginning of Bride of Tranquility, Officer Jake Coltrane, a man with a predictable lucky streak, is planning his wedding to his longtime girlfriend, Rachel Thorne, a veterinarian with the Dr. Doolittle ability to understand animals.

Unfortunately for Jake, the wedding seems doomed from the start when the hotel overbooks the wedding alongside a UFO True Believer’s conference and the filming of a ghost hunting reality TV show.  Jake also has to cope with a Renaissance wedding planner who will tack on hundred-dollar expenses at the drop of a handkerchief.  

Just when it seems that things can’t get any worse, the hotel’s manager is murdered.

Bride of Tranquility was released in September of 2009 from Yard Dog Press and is already in its second printing.  To celebrate, Morris is launching the Bride of Tranquilty: Mayhem, Matrimony and Murder Blog Tour.  

The tour includes stops every Monday in February at top writing, pop culture and science fiction blogs, as well as a podcast with Broaduniverse.
