Jan. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Corks Out endeavour to develop excellent relationships with their suppliers and as a result of this they manage to secure some great deals for their customers.  Recently, they have added several exclusive products to their range.

Nyetimber is an award winning British wine producer who gained international success and recognition throughout 2009 with their Classic Cuvee 2003 being crowned “Champion of Worldwide Sparkling Wines” in the prestigious Bollicine Del Mondo competition in Italy.  The Nyetimber Classic Cuvee 2003 scored the highest marks and took the gold medal in the competition ahead of thirteen Champagnes including Louis Roederer (Millesimè 2000), the Bollinger-owned Champagne Ayala,  (Dosage Zero), Pommery (Blancs de Blanc and Brut Apanage), Gosset (Grand Reserve), Joseph Perrier (Brut Cuvée Royale) and Devaux, and the Nyetimber 2001 Blanc de Blancs, which was also entered, came 12th ahead of seven of the champagnes. No other producer had two places in the top seventeen.

Corks Out have also added the Nyetimber 1998 Blanc de Blancs which won a Gold Medal and was placed within the top ten wines in the French Chardonnay du Monde competition and its sparkling wines have also won gold and silver medals in the UKVA English & Welsh Wine of the Year Competition, the International Wine Challenge (IWC) and the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).

Together with the fantastic English wines Corks Out also have some international exclusive offerings including Alexkia from South Africa, Pisa Moorings and OTu from New Zealand.

Alexkia is an exciting new wine estate in South Africa.  Located in a special part of the Western Cape, with its Mediterranean climate, mild temperatures and winter rainfall the Maestroni family hopes to combine the elegance and maturity of the Old World with the accessibility and ease of the New World.  Alexkia produce wines of rare character and style.

Pisa Moorings from Central Otago region of New Zealand was established in the early 1990s. Sue and Alistair Stark, along with five other Central Otago families, bought a 17ha block of land on the western shores of Lake Dunstan below the Pisa mountain range.  In 1997 the owners decided to establish 10ha of this land in a vineyard encouraged by the knowledge that there was a microclimate well suited for the growing of Pinot Noir grapes.  Ian Cunliffe and his team now care for the vines. Near to harvest Dean Shaw (winemaker) meets frequently with Ian to ascertain ripeness. Once Dean gives the go-ahead the grapes are then hand harvested and taken to the winery for Dean to start the winemaking process.

O:Tu from the legendary Malborough region of New Zealand specialises solely in producing premium Sauvignon Blanc from its extensive vineyards in the South East coastal corner of the Awatere Valley, at a place called Otuwhero (pron: o-two-fare-ro). O:TU is focused on reflecting the characteristics of this pure and untouched haven, where the growing season is cooler, longer and later than is typical in Marlborough. The result is stylistically distinct expressions of this variety that burst with zesty fruit intensity and refined mineral elegance.
