Jan. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- The U.S. Air Force Medical Service has made publically available two new webcasts on their use of Concept Searching’s conceptClassifier for SharePoint to solve their challenges in records management and data privacy in a SharePoint environment.

This high level webcast (http://airforcemedicine.afms.mil/hpsrmmodernization/) demonstrates how a unit within the U.S. Air Force Medical Service is using Concept Searching’s technology in a collaboration environment to deliver automatic metadata tagging of Records Retention Codes, security metadata, and semantic metadata to enable compliance with Records Management and Data Privacy and Security compliance in a SharePoint environment.

This U.S. Air Force Medical Service webcast (http://airforcemedicine.afms.mil/AFMSDataPrivacyandSecurity/) steps through the process of identifying Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) utilizing conceptClassifier for SharePoint demonstrating how they are leveraging the technology to identify and migrate sensitive information on file share servers within their organization.

conceptClassifier for SharePoint generates semantic and compound term metadata based on the meaning of content.  The conceptual metadata is automatically created when content is created or ingested and made available natively within Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) and SharePoint Server 2010.  The metadata can be used to improve any business process or application that requires the use of metadata including ECM, Search, Records Management, Social Networking, Compliance, Data Privacy, and Governance.  Management of the metadata is available from within MOSS and SharePoint 2010 administration as well as from within the conceptClassifier for SharePoint taxonomy management.
