Jan. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- A Tweet-up is being planned for the local Twitter community to meet and socialise at The Slug and Lettuce in Farnham, Surrey at 7pm on 3rd February 2010.

The Tweet-up is being organised by thebluedoor (http://www.thebluedoor.com/2010/01/surrey-networking-tweet-up-in-farnham.shtml), a Surrey based PR agency, with sponsorship from iBundle (http://ibundle.co.uk/wp/), a technology innovation hub that invests and builds software and web companies.

This unique event will celebrate Twitter and its impact on digital communication and social networking. Last year, Twitter experienced a growth rate of 1,959% (Nielsen Online, September 2009) and with over 7,635,980,000 Tweets to date (GigaTweet), the social networking site is becoming firmly established as a simple and effective tool to connect with friends, customers and co-workers worldwide.

“As a Surrey based innovation hub that values new ideas in web-based social media, this is a great opportunity to display how Twitter can be used to connect to the local community.” says Julian Ranger, iBundle’s Chief Executive Officer.

This fresh, exciting and free social networking event is open to any tweeting member of the community including local businesses, journalists, PRs or any other Twitter enthusiast.

With the ever-growing popularity of Twitter and social media, this event will establish a regular place and space for Surrey’s digital community to unite, network and share their digital knowledge.
