Follow on Google News | Dr. Jeff Cropsey, Former Director of DANTES, Joins Grantham UniversityGrantham University announced today that Dr. Jeffrey Cropsey, former Director of the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), has joined the University as Vice President for Strategic Initiatives.
By: Grantham University/Johanna Altland “I have always been impressed with Grantham’s vision and mission, which is closely aligned with my 40 years of experience in military voluntary education,” said Dr. Cropsey. “I am honored to be part of an organization whose focus is all about helping students improve their lives through education.” Dr. Cropsey, a native of New York, received his Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps, and as a Counselor, Education Services Officer and Major Command Staff Officer with the U.S. Air Force Education Services Program. Prior to joining the staff at DANTES, he was the Director of the Education Services and Training Program of the U.S. Air Force in Europe and the Director of the Voluntary Education Department of the U.S. Navy, Naval Education and Training Professional Development and Technology Center where he oversaw the management and execution of the Voluntary Education Program Navy-wide. He was selected as the Director of DANTES in May 2005.
