Implementing Geo-aware DNS using BIND & the most up-to-date IP2Location IP-Country (DB1) database

IP2Location allows you to implement a geolocation feature in a BIND DNS server easily. There is no need to patch the BIND source codes as the method being used just involves “Access Control List” and “Views”. A few simple steps are all it takes to implement the Geo-aware DNS. First of all, download the IP2Location IP-Country (DB1) database in ACL format which covers all CIDR IP address range by country (a subscription is required).
