How to Score Great Deals Online

Just because Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, does not mean that you have to go back to paying retail prices.

Dec. 30, 2009 - PRLog -- The holidays are approaching and shoppers are starting to flood the malls across the United States. They come in all shapes and sizes and from all denominations.  The people are as different as the gifts they are searching for.  Everyone seems to be in search of the best bargains and sales.

Black Friday has become very popular for deal seekers and now marks the start of the holiday shopping season. People will camp outside the stores with the best prices in order to be one of the first shoppers to score the item they want at a price well below retail.  When the doors open, the shoppers rush in. They push and shove, reach, grab and dive in order to get what they want. It’s not uncommon to see shoppers fighting over the last discounted item or to have it stolen out of another shopper’s cart. Black Friday can be one of the most hectic days of the year for shopping.

Cyber Monday has recently begun to lure customers away from retail stores and online to find the best deals. There exist websites which will track the best Cyber Monday deals for those that sign up for them and send out email alerts when new sales are released. Cyber Monday sales usually start at midnight on the Monday following Thanksgiving. Since different stores are located in different parts of the United States, they start their deals according to when the clock strikes midnight in their time zone. This has led to much frustration on the part of the shopper due to the fact that the offers listed on the stores’ sites often sell out in a matter of minutes and if the customer is not fast enough, the deal will have already expired.

There are several options one has in order to avoid the confusion and the mess which have become to be known as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. There are many discount retailers on the web which offer amazing deals on different products. Most people have heard of Amazon.com, Ebay or OverStock. These stores can offer deep discounts from that which you might find in a retail store.

There are some sites on the web which offer huge savings on their listed products but only sell a certain number of products a day. 1SaleADay.com is an example of one of these sites which offers great deals (sometimes offering them for free with a $5 shipping charge) but they only offer 4 items each day.

If you’re looking for better deals with more variety, try looking at penny auctions. These are site where items are auctioned off for only pennies. New sites such as NitroBids.com are spring up every day. If you really are looking to pay only pennies for your purchase, try one of the new penny auction sites first. Because they are new, they have not yet built up a customer base and therefore, are forced to sell their products at up to 98% off the retail price in order to attract customers. These sites have many products and are constantly updated with new hot items. If you are really looking to save this holiday season, penny auction sites are one of the best ways to get the most sought-after gifts of the holidays without breaking the bank.
