Dec. 29, 2009 - PRLog -- Work for Peace Inc. ( WFP ) a non profit organization and Rangam Consultants Inc. ( RCI ) a Technology and Work Placement Company in New Jersey have joined hands together to launch this Classroom Press Conference Program for the benefit of our young students to make their career decision on time before being employed remuneratively after completion of their education.

To achieve this objective WFP, Inc. has partnered with the international staffing firm Rangam Consultants, Inc. to provide internship, part-time and full-time opportunities for qualified individuals participating in their programs.  The Rangam team understands what skills are required by corporations for placement.  Together Rangam and WFP, Inc. utilize the book School To Work To Success to ensure that the individuals participating in WFP, Inc. programs learn the skills that are most important to finding and succeeding in a job.  To increase exposure of students to role models and career opportunities they utilize a program called Classroom Press Conference© (CPC) in participating schools.  This unique program identifies role models to speak to students for an hour about their background, employer, profession and what it takes to succeed in a way that will appeal to and inspire students.

How the Program Works

Every executive participating in the Classroom Press Conference program will provide a one page personal biography and a brochure from the company they work for to WFP, Inc. two weeks or more before the event.  WFP, Inc. will get this information to the teacher of the class that the role model will be speaking to.  The teacher will ask the students to pretend they are reporters and develop questions based on this information.  When the role models come to the class the students will grill them like reporters do in most press conferences.  The students will be asked by the teacher to write a short article about the “press conference” after it is over. The Classroom Press Conference program is a lot of fun for the role models and a great education for students of all ages.

Why This Program is Beneficial

This program motivates students to think in depth about who the visiting role models are, how these role models have become successful, what the role model’s company does and how getting a good education can help them succeed in the real world.  The education and exposure provided by the Classroom Press Conference inspires students to pursue careers they otherwise would never know about.
