Last week, the Canadian Governor General, Michaëlle Jean,  met with President Óscar Arias Sánchez to help develop a better relationship and to discuss the different ways they can increase attention for Costa Rica in Canada and for Canadians to 'easy up' on visa requirements for Costa Ricans wanting to visit Canada.

Being so similar, it's only obvious that developing strong relations between Canada and Costa Rica is important and adds even more confidence to potential Canadian investors.

What's most surprising to foreigners when they come to Costa Rica, is when they discover that investing, purchasing, business and living in Costa Rica, is the same for a foreigner as it is for a Costa Rican.  Unlike many other Latin American countries, Costa Rica is very inviting to foreign investment as their views on the subject are more positive and "co-operative".
