Young Singer Erica Wagner Aspires to Sing Her Way to the White House

Nov. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- Young entertainer, Erica Wagner will perform for the Democratic Executive Committee, Political Party Fundraiser on Friday, November 6th at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Resort where AFSCME President Gerald W. McEntee will speak.  Gerald W. McEntee is President of the 1.6 million-member American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and Vice President of the AFL-CIO.  

Erica Wagner has touched the heart of fans around the world with a stunning performance as music icon Cher.   From Bollywood to Beijing,  she has been recognized for  “A Step Back In Time,” the performance that recreated the Emmy Award Winning Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour and Tribute to Cher.  Erica Wagner is one of the youngest entertainers in the world to perform a musical tribute to a star of such magnitude as Cher.  

Now the aspiring, thirteen year old singer has fans of her own and plans to sing her way to the White House which started with her performance of the National Anthem for the Democratic Women’s Club of Collier County.   That led to the upcoming Political Fundraiser performance for the Democratic Executive Committee.  She hopes to perform the National Anthem for the President at the White House someday, and to entertain the troops as well.  

"This is something that I ‘can do,’ said Erica Wagner, "to pay homage to the President and contribute;  it’s a way that I can give back to the community and participate.   As a junior activist, I hope to serve as a positive role model for other teens across the nation, with the ‘Can Do” attitude that President Obama initiated in his political campaign.”

For now, the thirteen year old entertainer from Naples, Florida, is fast becoming the talk of the town, as the young performer delivered a stellar performance on Naples Fifth Avenue, and more recently at Southwest Florida's Germain Arena where they rolled out the red carpet for her as she sang the National Anthem to more than four thousand Florida Everblades fans.

But her performance for the Democratic political party will be her most important and prestigious event yet. She will entertain some of the nation’s most prolific, political contributors and bridge a generation gap as her performance inspires other young people to action.   In any event, it is admirable that a young girl has such high aspirations to make the world a better place, and in retrospect, makes the audience reflect on what were they doing at age thirteen.
