Oct. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- For three years, Christian Perry has produced SNAP Summit, a leading conference on Facebook applications. As of last month, however, he's shifted his focus to the iPhone, launching Brickroll, an iPhone game review site. His move signals a shift of focus away from social networks.

"iPhone represents the future of mobile gaming," says Perry. "Everyone from Capcom to Zynga to two-man teams are churning out games at a break-neck pace. Thanks to Apple, we're on the verge of a major shift in the game industry."

Banking on this trend, Perry aggressively assembled a team of editors. Since September, they've written more than 70 iPhone game reviews, adding between 10 and 20 games each week, at http://www.brickroll.com. "Our goal is to become the leading authority on iPhone games," says Perry. "We're reviewing more iPhone games, faster, than anyone else on the web."

Perry remains mum on future plans for Brickroll, but hints at a future that goes beyond reviews. "There are more than a dozen prominent review sites for iPhone games. We don't just want to be the leader of the pack; we want to break out of the pack entirely."

Perry's shift may not signal the end of Facebook gaming, but suggests that the iPhone will soon eclipse it. "Facebook is an innovative social utility, but a limited venue for games. A groundbreaking game platform needs more than vampires and sheep battles. The iPhone not only answers that call, with a platform open to big companies and indie developers alike."

Seeing the iPhone as far more than another mobile device, Perry urges attention to the iPhone's potential as a groundbreaking gaming device. "iPhone offers the tactile feedback of the Wii, the social features of Facebook, and apps sold at a fraction of other handheld games. Apple is positioned for outright dominance in handheld gaming."

Brickroll features reviews of top iPhone games, accessible by category, price, rating, and play length. The company was founded in September, 2009, by Christian Perry.
