Ponturo Management Names Rachel Owens Director Of Marketing

Oct. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- PONTURO MANAGEMENT NAMES RACHEL OWENS DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

New York, October 19, 2009 – Ponturo Management Group LLC. today named Rachel Owens to the newly-created position of Director of Marketing.  Owens comes to Ponturo Management after serving as Vice President of Business Development at the Madison Green Agency, and will assist in the development and detail coordination and implementation of the firm’s various projects in entertainment and sports. She will be based in their Manhattan offices.

“We have made solid strides since starting our business in January, and it will be great to have Rachel assist us in implementing many of our marketing platforms with our Broadway, film and TV projects, as well as being an important liaison between Ponturo Management and the. Leverage Agency and their work in sponsorship sales,” CEO Tony Ponturo said. “She is an accomplished professional who understands how growing companies work and function, and those assets will be a great addition to our company as we expand our reach in the coming months.”

Owens  brings nine years of experience in building young companies in the areas of business development, strategic operations, investor relations, and project management. She began her career working in the technology field, handling sales for divisions of Nokia and Titan, eventually escalating to the role of sales operations and territory manager. After making the transition to sports, Rachel took on a role of Director of Business Development and later Project Development for the construction and development of Aviator Sports, a $50 Million grassroots sports and entertainment complex located in Brooklyn, New York. She was responsible for managing the $30 Million National Government contract for the complex, which is located on the former Floyd Bennett Airfield.

Rachel received her MS Business, Sports Finance and Development from New York University, and has a dual BA from University of California, Santa Barbara. She resides in Brooklyn.
