Oct. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- Letting the Great British public know that we are now stocking and selling a full range of carbide tipped lettering & sculpting chisels. These chisels can be used for all kinds of stone masonry work, including facing & pitching.
In the past these chisels have been very hard to source for the general public, but now through Braith Heritage Supplies they are more readily available.

We have a full range of these chisels including hammer & mallet headed, the mallet headed chisels have a rounded ball on top to avoid damage to mallets. There is also the fire sharp range that do not have the carbide tips, these are a cheaper range and good for use on softer stones.
Lettering Chisels for small incising strokes to create lettering, best used with the lighter dummy hammers.

Fishtail Carving Chisels are used to create pockets, valleys and for intricate carving, whilst providing good visibility around the stone.

Masonry Chisels are used for the general shaping of stones & finishing.
Stone Point Tools are used to rough out the surface of the stone removing the bulk.

Stone Claw Tools are used to remove the Peaks and troughs left from the Stone Point tool.

Stone Pitching Tools are used to remove large quantities of stone & facing

Stone Nickers are used to Split stones by tracing a line along the stone with progressive strikes until the stone Breaks along the line.
