Oct. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- We are often asked about the services provided by Lee Enterprises, in conjunction with engineers and other professionals at AP Innovations.  We believe that we have assembled a “one of a kind” team in the biodiesel marketplace and that we have the expertise to assist clients in almost every area of a biodiesel project.  We often start right at the beginning when the project is just an idea, and we are often providing services after the plant is up and running.  And, almost everything in between!  And for existing plants, our team can provide unbiased opinions of the technology, personnel and the operating plan of the business.  We can work together to help you develop a profitable business plan using the best of what you have available at your site and our knowledge from assisting other facilities – all with the least amount of capital expenditure.

Our first contact is often to perform an “initial feasibility study” to determine whether a project makes economic sense.  From there, we can help evaluate the proposed market and find a suitable site (or evaluate a site already under consideration).  We can create your business plan and can assist you in determining capital and operational costs in the proposed project.   Our engineers are experienced in the industry.  They have designed, built, installed and started up many plant.  They can design your plant, or help you evaluate plans you are already considering. They can provide you with the optimum layout for your specific site.  Want us to build?  We have our own fabrication facility, AP Fabrications, located only blocks from AP Innovations corporate offices.  We can build your processor or we can give you a complete turnkey project – up and running with trained staff.  If your project requires pretreatment of the feedstock, we have it.   And, if you have your own technology, we can help you evaluate it, and probably even build and install it if you’d like.  

We can help you in finding and procuring the right feedstock, and at our labs, we can test it before you buy large, expensive quantities.  We can help you negotiate your feedstock, offtake, management and lease agreements and our contacts in the industry also allow us to help you selecting experienced alternative fuels professionals like attorneys and accountants.

Once your plant is installed, our startup teams are available to train your crews and help you begin producing “spec” fuel.  In fact, we can even monitor your plant remotely for potential problems, if you’d like.   We can provide safety training and forklift certification for your crews, and we can assist you in recruiting plant management or employees.  Finally, if you ever decide to sell your plant, or are looking at acquiring an existing plant, we have a business brokerage arm that is ready to assist you.  

In forming our alliances, our goal was to assemble a “one of a kind” team in the biodiesel marketplace, with one point of contact for all the needs of the industry.  We feel that we have been very successful in accomplishing that goal.
