For a relatively new nation, Australia’s population is aging fast. In fact, Treasurer Wayne Swan believes the number of people aged 65-84 will quadruple over the next 40 years.

As the Federal Government plans ahead, our hospitals and health facilities need to adopt future-proofing strategies that ensure the demands of an ageing population are met. This means incorporating design, sustainability and a focus on ‘patient-centricity’ for new developments.

“The Government is committed to supporting jobs and promoting future prosperity…That's why we're investing $22 billion to improve Australia's transport, energy, communications, education and health infrastructure in order to expand the Australian economy's productive capacity”, said Mr Swan.
