PRLog -- Peter Hesse traveled to the Caribbean in 1981 for a vacation. He found it difficult to dance and have a good time amidst the tremendous poverty of Haitian life. Returning to Germany, he vowed to return the following year, bringing sewing machines and materials for Haitian families to make clothes to wear and sell. 9 of his business colleagues contributed. He discovered that sewing machines given to a family would be sold, usually to pay for medical care, so he sought a better way to help. The result is more than 25 years of selecting and training preschool teachers to conduct early childhood education according to the methods and teachings of Maria Montessori. Hesse’
s methods are now being adapted to other impoverished areas of the world. He appears on Full Power Living (www.emotionalpro.com)
on October 22 to share his story.
