Friday Prayer On Capitol Hill

Sept. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Muslim Americans are calling on Muslims of all communities to pray at the nation’s capitol in the spirit of Islamic unity and American solidarity. On September 25, 2009 Muslims will gather in Washington, D.C., at the Capitol for Salat ul Jummah (Friday prayer) at 1:00 pm, and, by coming together, demonstrate the love we have for our faith, the diversity our faith has been blessed with and the respect and love we have for our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who we Muslims believe has sent to teach the message of love and unity to all humanity, and sent as a mercy from the Creator to all of mankind, according to organizers of the event.

September 25, 2009 will be a monumental day whereby Muslims will unite under the principles shared by Islam and America of Freedom of Worship. In addition to the obligatory prayer there will be Quranic recitation and information presented demonstrating the shared values and ideals featured in the Islamic culture and shared by the American experience, sources said.
