Follow on Google News | The Cresperian Alliance, Third in the Cresperian Series of Novels, Now Under ContractThe third book in the series of Cresperian novels begun by Darrell Bain and Dr. Travis S. Taylor, and continued by Bain and Taylor's protege, Stephanie Osborn, has been placed under contract by Twilight Times Books.
By: Stephanie Osborn The series, begun with the Dream Realm Award-winning novel Human By Choice (Bain, Taylor), deals with Earth's inadvertent first contact with the alien race of Cresperians, or "Crispies." The Crispies are an ancient civilization, with amazing abilities to tap into the quantum foam of the universe to perform seemingly miraculous feats. Their technology is equally advanced. As their presence is discovered on Earth, a new form of "space race" begins, as nations around the world vie for control of individual Crispies and their technology. But the Crispies are not the only race "out there." In Book Two, The Y Factor (Bain, Osborn), the Cresperians and humans stumble across another race, the "Snappers," whose interplanetary empire is disturbingly close to both Earth and Cresperia. The Cresperian Alliance (Osborn, Bain) sees the return of Earth's first starships from Cresperia, and an alliance formed between the advanced, but peace-loving, Cresperians, and the more volatile humans. But now there's another race involved in the interaction, allied with neither. And the Snappers, while advanced, are neither friendly nor peace-loving. Will the Snappers decide to expand their interplanetary empire? If so, in what direction...? The Cresperian Alliance is an exciting, impossible to put down science fiction thriller. The Cresperian Alliance is expected to be released in e-book format in January 2010 and in trade paperback in July 2010.
